compost bins and drifted back into the woods.

in the spring. These are all that survived.

next to the back steps. She could not get into the shrub and the chipmunk perched there much like a bird for a long time.

sitting next to the shelter in the front pasture, about 100'
from the house.

We are outside, trying to catch Bryde the Brainless who wants
to stalk it. You can see it finds the whole thing amusing.

window at suppertime. The sun was low in the sky and the iridescence on his feathers was beautiful.

up to within 5' of the house.
Robins excavating the small garden April 2007 Date/Time: Fri 06 Apr 2007 06:16:08 PM CEST This garden is mulched with heavy wet leaves of hay. But those robins are determined to find the worms and they turned over
those heavy leaves to do it. There are 7 robins in there digging
for worms.
Doe & fawns in the middle pasture November 2007 Date/Time: Fri 02 Nov 2007 08:56:12 AM CET It's 9 AM in the morning and this doe and fawns are not bothered about being in the pasture between the house and the barn. They are only 40' from the house.
Fawn in the front yard July 2009 Date/Time: Fri 03 Jul 2009 12:08:33 PM CEST This fawn appeared in the yard and Bryde stalked it all around
the house. There was no sign of it's mother.
Baby vulture June 2010 Date/Time: Sat 26 Jun 2010 02:39:48 PM CEST This baby vulture appeared one day. It could get itself up about
4-5' onto posts, but mostly it waddled around on foot. At one point we found it in the barn across from the chicken coop, perched on the stall wall.

We called the local raptor rehab person we knew but by the time
he got to the farm, the bird had disappeared. About an hour after he left, the baby vulture reappeared in the middle pasture.

population. We didn't know if our bat colony would return
this year.

But they are back and seem to be doing fine. We had hoped
to have them studied as Boston College had expressed interest
but so far no one has come out.
